What is This Game?
This game is a Mario Bros-style jump action game. When people hear ‘Mario Bros,’ they usually think of the much more famous ‘Super Mario’ on the NES, but personally, I also consider the original Mario without the ‘Super’ to be a classic. I’ll include a link to Wikipedia.
The original Mario was actually an arcade game, and if you watch videos on YouTube, you’ll notice the animation is way smoother compared to the NES version. They really put a lot of detail into it.
This game is inspired by that arcade version. However, in this game, there’s only one type of enemy, and as you progress through stages, you won’t encounter new mechanics or gimmicks.
This is just a demo I created as part of a blog series, ‘Let’s Make a Game with JavaScript,’ aimed at people interested in game development. The article includes the full source code.

How to Play
How to defeat enemies
Jump and hit the floor from below to flip the enemy over.
Then, kick the flipped enemy off the platform (just touch them to do this).
If you manage to kick them while they’re still flipping in mid-air, you’ll score big points (that high score feature is unique to this game)!
Power Block
If you hit a block with an up arrow, it triggers an earthquake that flips over all enemies touching the ground.
